the Annual Report for 1919, and no change has taken place
during the year. It will be noted from Table 16 however,
that there is a decrease in the numbers as compared with
1920. This is due to the fact that the County Council are
now treating slight verminous cases at one of their centres
near Plumstead Station, with a consequent diminution of the
number of cases that have been sent to White Hart Lane.
The following table shows the extent to which the station
has been used each year since 1917:—

Underground Sleeping Rooms. Action was taken under
Section 17 of the Housing, Town Planning, etc., Act, 1909,
with respect to an underground room that was illegally
occupied. A closing order was made and served on the
occupiers. In 12 other instances in which rooms were illegally
occupied, the conditions were abated on service of intimation
notices.
