on the 7th June. A temporary sanitary inspector commenced
work on the 21st June, but his duties have been mainly in
connection with the housing survey of the Borough, full
details of which are given in the Housing Section of the Report.
Complaints. The number of complaints received during
the year, 1691, compares with 630, 599, and 719 in the
preceding three years. 53 of these complaints related to the
non-removal of dust. 7 of these were from Woolwich, 19 from
Plumstead and 27 from Eltham.
23. Inspections. Tables 14 and 15 shew in tabular form
for the whole district and for each ward the various inspections
made, and nuisances abated during the year.
