113. Puerperal Fever. During the year, 13 cases of Puerperal
Fever were notified, as compared with 14 in 1918, and
7 in 1919. The case-rate per 1,000 births was 355, as compared
with 4.44, 5.43 and 2.55 in the three preceding years.
9 cases received hospital treatment. There were 5 deaths,
giving a mortality rate of 0.04.
114. Ophthalmia Neonatorum. During the year, 34 cases
were notified. The following table No. 50 shows the eye conditions
in each case and the permanent result. It will be seen
that in every case a satisfactory result was obtained.
