The statistical year consists of 53 weeks ending January
3rd, 1914.
West PI urns tead includes the Burr age, Herbert, Glyndon
and St. Margaret's Wards, and East Plumstead the Central
and St. Nicholas Wards.
The Registrar-General estimates the population as 122,382
on the assumption of a uniform increase proportional to
that between the two last Censuses. There can be no doubt
that the above estimate which takes into account the number
of ooeupied houses is neajer the truth; it is probably too
small, as there is evidence that the number of persons to
a house has increased sinoe the Census.
