The houses in Kate's Place have been thoroughly

In the 1909 Report statistics were given as to the health of
persons living in new and old houses in North Woolwich, and
reasons were adduced for believing that the better health of
the inhabitants of the newer houses was due to these having
concreted sites, instead of being unprotected from earth damp
like the older houses.
