18. The following table gives the infantile mortality
during 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, and 1911, and four
preceding quinquennia in the Borough, and each registration
district:—

It is seen that in East Plumstead the rate was lower than in 1910, and in Eltham the lowest on record. Thus the excessive infant mortality was confined to Woolwich Parish, and West Plumstead.
