78. Of the 32 adults about whom information was obtained,
one was stated to be a teetotaller, 12 temperate, and 19 intemperate.

80. Bacteriological Diagnosis. Sputum from 179 cases of
suspected phthisis was examined at the Lister Institute, and
tubercle bacilli was found in 55 cases. The number of examinations
for the five previous years was 116, 130, 130, 171, and
175, respectively.
