propose to deal with the district of Woolwich Parish. Miss FitzCerald
already obtains most of the particulars which the enquiry
has in view. The additional labour involved will be chiefly a
matter of following up the births more particularly and classifying
them.
The Eltham branch Office.
59. The Eltham Sanitary Inspector's Office, 112, High Street,
provides a place to take messages, and to give out disinfectants,
and a room for the Inspector to call at daily and see visitors by
appointment. It is found very useful for this purpose, but would
be still more so if connected with the telephone.
Public Health staff.
GO. There was no change in the staff of the department during
the year.
I have to acknowledge with thanks the valuable assistance of
all the members of the staff who have loyally co-operated with me
in maintaining the high standard of the sanitary administration
of the Borough.
A large amount of work has recently been thrown on the
clerical staff, who have had frequently to work overtime.
