Tuberculosis.
64. There were 232 deaths from Tuberculous Disease compared
with 269 in 1901. This number exceeds the sum of the
deaths from Small-pox, Measles, Scarlet Fever, Influenza,
Whooping Cough, Diphtheria, and Enteric Fever.
The rate per 1,000 population was 1.86, compared with 2.29
in the year preceding.
The deaths from Phthisis were 183, and the death rate 1.47,
compared with 180 and 1.79 in the two preceding years.
