13. There were 50 inquests compared with 39, 35, 38 and
38, in the four preceding years. Fifteen were on persons under
five years, and 35 on persons over five.
Pour infants under three months were accidently suffocated
in bed with their parents.
There were four suicides, one from shooting, one from
hanging, and one from cut throat, all men ; and a woman by
attempted abortion.
A man of 54 and a woman of 46 died from falls, the former
being intoxicated.
A woman of 68 and a child of 19 months died from burns.
A woman of 47 died of hemorrhage from an ulcerated varicose
vein.
Two persons were run over, one by a truck and one by a
bicycle.
Four men were killed by machinery or otherwise injured
while at work.
There were two deaths from lead poisoning.
One man was found drowned.
The remainder were deaths from natural causes.
