3. The rebuilding of houses in the district is being continued, and
this will undoubtedly result in no small improvement in the hygienic
conditions of the locality.
4. The construction of the pumping station and reservoirs, etc., in
connection with the North Woolwich Drainage scheme is now approaching
completion.
I would again draw attention to the advisability of steps being taken
to fill up the vacant office of Inspector, in order that the Registered
Lodging Houses, etc., may receive proper attention.
I have, in conclusion, to acknowledge my indebtedness to the
Committee for their continued support and to the Sanitary Inspectors
and the Clerk in the Sanitary Department for their loyal co-operation
and the conscientious discharge of their respective duties.
