Marriages. There have been 575 marriages registered during the
year; in the first quarter 146, in the second 149, in the third 132, and
in the fourth 148.
Inquests and There have been 71 inquests during the year. There
have been 7 Suicides as follows:—Hanging 1, Drowning
1, Cutting Throat 2, Shooting i, Poisoning 1, and by throwing self out
of window 1.
Mortuary. Sixty-seven bodies were received into the Mortuary, of
which 44 were of persons resident in the district, and 23 non-resident or
unknown.
