Births.
The number of births registered during the year, when all
corrections have been made, was 1,056, showing a birth-rate of
18'9 per 1,000 of the population. Of these 280 births occurred
in St. Margaret's Parish, and 776 in St. John's.
Deaths.
The number of deaths of parishioners when duly corrected
amounted to 1,097, showing a death-rate of 19.7 per 1,000.
Of these deaths 373 occurred in St. Margaret's Parish and 724
in St. John's. The death-rate for the whole parish when
corrected for age and sex distribution was 22.2.
