In the face of insuperable difficulties, efforts
continue to be made in the Borough to try to help some of
them, and examples of these activities are illustrated on
pages 9 to 11.
In presenting this report I would like once more to
express my appreciation of the work of the staff of the
Public Health Department, and my gratitude to the Chairman
and Members of the Public Health Committee for their helpful
support on several occasions during the year.
