Sewers - "Maintenance Treatments"
I am informed by the Borough Engineer and Surveyor that
two treatments for the destruction of rats in sewers were
carried out during the year, viz. from 26th May to 9th July
1952 and 2,4th November 1952 to 8th January 1953.
1.471 manholes were treated during each period, the
estimated number of rats destroyed being 12,520 and 10,525,
respectively.
