Health Visiting.—Details of the work of the Health Visitors and of the
work at the Municipal Infant Welfare Centres are given on pages 12 and 13.
Convalescent Treatment.—52 mothers and 98 children were sent away
to various convalescent homes during the year.
Supply of Milk to Mothers and Children.—13,321 grants of milk, Virol,
etc. were authorised under the Council's Scheme during the year at an
approximate cost of £3,838 18s. l£d.
Home Helps were supplied in 76 cases.
Child Life Protection.—121 visits were made to foster mothers, 178
and to foster children, and 139 miscellaneous visits.
The number of persons receiving children for reward at the end of the
year was 14, and the number of children was 15.
