The number of bacteriological examinations made at the Mile End Hospital Laboratory Facilities
on behalf of the Public Health Department during the year was 2,898. These

Blood (for Typhoid bacilli) 4 1 5
There were 284 specimens of sputa examined at our Tuberculosis Dispensaries
for general practitioners. 37 of these were found to be positive.
