197 new soil pipes were fixed and ventilated; 1,197 new closet pans and
traps were fixed; 3,380 closets were either cleansed or repaired, or provided
with additional light and ventilation; 1,754 water closets were provided with
a proper flushing apparatus.
1,692 yards were cleansed, paved or repaired; 17 areas and stables were
paved and drained; and 255 washhouses and forecourts were paved.
There were 73 nuisances under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891
with respect to the keeping of animals, and these were all abated.
