On 21st May, Mr. R. Brutton was summoned for failing to remedy the defective
condition of the roof and rain-water pipe at No. 125, St. George Street. An Order
to abate the nuisance within 14 days was made by the Magistrate with £3 3s. costs.
On 27th May, Mrs. R. Specterman was summoned for failing to provide proper
sanitary dust receptacles at No. 88, Sidney Street, Nos. 54 & 56, Varden Street.
She had provided the receptacles before the date of the hearing of the summonses.
She was ordered to pay £2 2s. costs.
On 27th May, Mr. A. Marks, the occupier of No. 82a, Grove Street, was summoned
for failing to cleanse the dirty condition of the floor, yard and water-closet.
He was fined £3 with £2 2s. costs.
On 8th June, Mrs. K. Robin was summoned for failing to provide a proper
sanitary dust receptacle at No. 56, Old Montague Street. The nuisance having
been abated before the hearing of the summons, she was ordered by the Magistrate
to pay 23s. costs.

defective condition of the roof, and to cleanse the walls and ceilings of No. 4, Cornwall
Square. An order to abate the nuisance within seven days was made by the Magistrate
with £2 7s. costs.

sanitary dust receptacle at No. 4, Cornwall Square. She was ordered'to pay £1 1s.
costs.
On 29th June, Mr. A. H. Gowler was summoned for failing to remedy defective
yard paving and eaves gutters at No. 21, Three Colt Street. He was fined 20s.,
with £2 2s. costs.
On 15th July, Mr. B. Cohen was summoned for failing to remedy the defective
walls, roof, gutters and sashes at No.,1, Matilda Place. A closing order was made
by the Magistrate.
