In addition to the samples already enumerated, 40 miscellaneous Samples
were examined.
For the Public Health Department—
2 Milks, 1 Butter, 1 Margarine, 1 Nut Lard, 1 Cake, 1 Scone, 1 Meat
Preservative, 1 Sterilising Fluid, 1 Dried Prunes, 1 Liquid Eggs,
1 Raspberry Juice, 1 Lemon Squash, 1 Dried Eggs.
For the Works Department—
5 Carbolic Fluids, 1 Water.
For the Electrical Department—
2 Joint Box Compositions, 2 Pipe Covering Compositions, 3
Lubricating Oils.
13 Samples of "Rag Flock" were examined under the "Rag Flock Act,"
which came into operation on July 1st, 1912.
4 Samples exceeded the limit of 30 parts of soluble chlorine per 100,000.
These Samples were submitted by the Manufacturers.
