The number of deaths due to Alcoholism and Cirrhosis of the Liver was 34, or
4 more than in the previous year.
8 belonged to the Limehouse District, or at the rate of .14 per 1,000.
8 belonged to St. George-in-the-East, or at the rate of .17 per 1,000.
10 belonged to Mile End Old Town, or at the rate of .08 per 1,000.
8 belonged to the Whitechapel District, or at the rate of .11 per 1,000.
The death-rate throughout the whole Borough was .12 per 1,000 of the
population.
Cancer.
The deaths due to Cancer were 236, or 8 more than in the previous year. This
corresponds to a death-rate of .88 per 1,000 of the population.
