In addition to the foregoing prosecutions under the Sale of Food and Drugs
Acts, the following proceedings were taken: —
January 22nd, 1909, Charles Stern, of 61, Wellesley Street, was summoned
for refusing to sell a sample of milk from a pail in his shop on December 18th,
1908.
He was fined 80s. and 23s. costs
February 16th, 1909, Lewis Marcus, of 21, Leslie Street, Mile End, was
summoned for failing to have his name and address inscribed on a milk can
from which he was selling.
Fined 10s. and 23s. costs.
There were three prosecutions taken under the Butter and Margarine
Act, 1907.
