employers resident in this Borough were forwarded to Medical Officers of Health
of other districts.

Insanitary conditions, mainly want of cleanliness, were found in 511 instances.
Infectious diseases occurred in 307 premises occupied by outworkers engaged
in the making, &c., of wearing apparel. The work was stopped temporarily
during the time disinfection was being carried out.
