In London during the year 1900 the deaths numbered 86,007,
and corresponded to a death-rate of 18.3 per 1,000.
Infantile Mortality.
Of the 198 deaths of parishioners occurring within and without
the Parish, 32 were under 5 years of age, equal to 16.2 per cent. of
the total deaths.
The deaths of Infants under 1 year of age numbered 23, equal
to 11.6 per cent. of the total deaths, and 136.9 to 1,000 registered
births.
In London, the deaths of Infants under 1 year of age were
20,927. These deaths were in proportion of 160 in each 1,000
births.
The following table shows the causes of death of these 23 infants under 1 year of age:—
