BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS.
Bacteriological examinations were undertaken by the Bacteriological
Laboratory of the Medical Research Council which is accommodated at County Hall.
Records of examinations carried out are as follows:-
Nose and Throat Swabs:

TUBERCULOSIS.

Notifications - Twenty six cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and one of non-pulmonary tuberculosis were notified during 1961 compared with 35 pulmonary and 2 non-pulmonary notifications in 1960. The following table gives the age grouping of new cases notified.
