allowed to be distributed to recognised dealers for the recovery of fat and
other waste products. In all cases the local authority in whose area the
dealers' premises are situated are notified when unsound food is sent.

a dead cockroach. In the first case the defendant was given an Absolute
Discharge, and in the second case the defendant was fined £10 and ordered to
pay three guineas costs.
A tin of ham examined as a control sample to determine method of dealing
with remaining stock was found to have deteriorated and to be unfit for human

PRESERVATIVES IN FOOD REGULATIONS.
All articles taken were in accordance with the regulations.
