BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS.
Bacteriological examinations were undertaken by the Bacteriological
Laboratory of the Medical Research Council which is accommodated at County Hall.

Records of examinations carried out are as follows:-

IV. TUBERCULOSIS.

Notifications - Thirty four cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and five of non-pulmonary tuberculosis were notified during 1959 compared with 31 pulmonary and 4 non-pulmonary notifications in 1950. The following table gives the age grouping of new cases notified.
