BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS.
Bacteriological examinations were undertaken by the Bacteriological
Laboratory of the Medical Research Council which is accommodated at County Hall.
Records of examinations carried out are as follows:–

IV. TUBERCULOSIS.
Notifications - Thirty one cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and four of nonpulmonary
tuberculosis were notified during 1958 compared with 31 pulmonary and
3 non-pulmonary notifications in 1957' The following table gives the age grouping
of new cases notified.
