BACTERIOLOGICAL Examination
Bacteriological examinations were undertaken by the Bacteriological
Laboratory of the Medical Research Council which is accommodated at County Hall.

IV. TUBERCULOSIS
Notifications - Thirty one cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and three of non-pulmonary tuberculosis were notified during 1957 compared with 40 pulmonary and 4 non-pulmonary notifications in 1956. The following table gives the age grouping of new cases notified.
