The following table gives the age grouping of deaths from tuberculosis:-

During the year Sanitary Inspectors visited all new cases of tuberculosis
notified, and also inspected the homes of all persons discharged from
hospital or removing from another area into this borough.
PUBLIC HEALTH (PREVENTION OF TUBERCULOSIS) REGULATIONS 1925.
These regulations prohibit a person suffering from tuberculosis, and who
is in an infectious condition, from following any employment or occupation in
connection with a dairy which would involve the milking of cows, the treatment
of milk, or the handling of vessels used for containing milk. No formal
action was necessary during the year.
MASS MINIATURE RADIOGRAPHY.
I am indebted to Dr. Thompson for the following report-
"Mass Radiography Unit 6D carried out a "Survey" in the Borough from
7th September to 23rd September, 1955, during which miniatures and large
films were taken. The Unit operated in the News Room of the Central Library,
236, Kingsland Road, E.2. through the kind permission of the Libraries
Committee.
