* 215 cases of overcrowding and 28 cases for preferential treatment
wore removed from the Health Department registers during
the year as the result of investigations carried out by the
Sanitary Inspectors. In the majority of oases it was found
that families had obtained other accommodation themselves, and
in others the accommodation was now adequate following the
removal or death of one or more of the occupants.
