BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS.
The Public Health Laboratory Service at Colindale continued to
carry out examinations of swabs, specimens, etc- on behalf of this
Council until the beginning of December when the Laboratory
established at Mile End Hospital agreed to undertake examinations of nose
and throat swab3 and faeces. This gave us the advantage of being
able to send swabs received later in the afternoon, for examination
the same day.

FOOD POISONING.
Once again, there was no outbreak of food poisoning in the
Borough, and, even as regards individual cases, there was this time
only one case - a man who ate three duck eggs and developed a
typhi-murium infection.
