NURSING IN THE HOME
The Shoreditch and Bethnal Green District Nursing Association undertakes
home nursing in the Borough and has an agreement with the Borough Council
under which the following types of cases are nursed under medical direction in consideration
of a payment of 2s. 2d. per visit:—(i) cases referred by the Medical Officer
of Health; (ii) children under 5 years of age (the cost of these cases being chargeable
to the Maternity and Child Welfare Committee); and (iii) cases of notifiable diseases
A total of 645 visits were paid during the year.
