these figures represent a decrease of 25 in pulmonary and a decrease of 4 in nonpulmonary
tuberculosis. Of the total cases, 20 were notified by private practitioners
and 98 by medical officers of institutions.
From the point of view of age grouping it is found that 7.29 per cent, of the
total notifications of pulmonary tuberculosis which were received were in respect of
children under 15 years and 92.71 per cent, were in respect of persons over 15 years,
the corresponding figures for 1937being 885 per cent.and91.15 per cent, respectively.
As regards non-pulmonary tuberculosis 22.22 per cent, were children under 15 years
and 77.78 per cent, were individuals over 15 years. The corresponding figures for the
previous year were 62.96 per cent, and 37.04 per cent., respectively.

and non-pulmonary cases respectively:—
