II.—POPULATION, BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS
The Registrar-General's estimate for the mid-year 1937 population was 82,240.
This figure is used for statistical purposes throughout this Report.
The population in the various wards of the Borough is estimated as follows:—
