WATER SUPPLY
The number of certificates issued as required under the Public Health (London)
Act, 1936, section 95 (2), was 292.
The water supply is almost entirely from the Metropolitan Water Board.
There are nine artesian wells in the borough. One is used for brewing, drinking
and general purposes, one for all purposes, one for general commercial purposes, one
has been partly filled in, one rafted over and the other four are not now in use.
