school on account of the presence of diphtheria bacilli in their noses or throats.
The families resident in the three houses to which these children belonged were
kept under observation. No cases of diphtheria, however, were subsequently
notified amongst the residents of these houses.
Nursing in the Home.
The Shoreditch and Bethnal Green District Nursing Association undertakes
home nursing in the Borough and have an agreement with the Borough Council
under which the following types of cases are nursed under medical direction in this
Borough in consideration of a payment of Is. 4d. per visit:—(i) cases referred by
M.O.H., (ii) children under 5 years of age (the cost of these cases being chargeable
to the M. & C. W. Committee), (iii) cases of notifiable diseases.

Subjoined is a list of cases nursed under this agreement during the year 1930.
