It is most valuable work in that it gives a fresh start to children who would
otherwise be seriously handicapped and it is hoped that the number of cases treated
will steadily increase.
Work had not proceeded for very long upon a whole-time basis before it became
apparent that the present accommodation was inadequate. Arrangements were
accordingly under consideration by the end of the year to accommodate the Dental
Hospital in a new building to be erected in Laburnum Street at the rear of the Model
Welfare Centre.
