INFANTILE MORTALITY.
During the year 1924 there were 2,505 births and 196 deaths of children under the age of twelve
months in the Borough. These figures give an infantile mortality-rate (deaths of infants under
12 months to each 1,000 births) of 78.
The corresponding figures for the year 1925 are 2,337 births, 170 deaths and an infantile mortalityrate
of 72.
