Typhoid and Paratyphoid Fevers
There were no cases of either infection during the year, but
in a number of instances investigations were undertaken in the
case of residents who had been in contact with confirmed cases
of the infection, or had been otherwise at risk of contracting the
illness.
Whooping Cough
77 notifications were received during 1971 compared with
138 in the preceding year. The infection was generally mild in
character.
