1967. In all but one instance, these were isolated cases of the
disease, the exception being a small institutional outbreak associated
with meat which had been cooked on the day preceding its
consumption, a sequence of events which is commonly associated
with food poisoning outbreaks of this type.

Measles
As mentioned above, this was a year of low incidence of
measles, only 398 notifications being received compared with 4,299
in the previous year. No deaths were recorded from the disease.
Meningococcal Infections
Two cases were notified during the year.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum
Only two notifications of this disease were received.
