England and Wales 12.3. There were 48 deaths of infants under
1 week of age, giving an early neonatal mortality rate of 11.0 per
1,000 total live births. The rates for Greater London and England
and Wales were 11.4 and 10.5. The perinatal mortality rate for the
Borough (stillbirths and deaths under one week combined, per
1,000 total live and still births) was 23 and those for Greater
London and England and Wales 24.7 and 25.0 respectively.
