Speech Therapy
This year saw a slight improvement in the staffing situation
so that the three clinics, special schools (with one exception).
Hospital School and Training Centre, were staffed for most of
the year.
One full-time therapist resigned and two full-time therapists
were appointed and the year ended with the full complement of
staff allowed at present.
Group therapy for language handicapped children was started
at the Masons Hill Clinic, Bromley, and the group which consists
of a maximum of six children meets one morning a week. Most
of the children are under school age and most have behaviour
as well as language difficulties.
