MORTUARIES
There are two mortuaries operated by the London Borough
of Bromley, one in the Town Hall grounds at Beckenham and the
other at Beaverwood Road Depot, Chislehurst.
The plans made in 1966 for improvements and increased
facilities at the Beckenham Mortuary were virtually completed
by the end of the present year. These included the following
items:—
Provision of six additional refrigeration spaces.
Provision of an electric hoist.
Provision of one new post-mortem table.
Re-surfacing of one post-mortem table.
Refurbishing of Viewing Room.
Provision of new electric space-heaters in post-mortem
room.
Provision of new gas water heater for post-mortem room.
Internal decoration.
