(f)	Bread. Composition: Dark foreign matter between the slices of the cut loaf consisted of particles of the outer crus't of the loaf.	Reported to Committee. Matter drawn to the attention of Baker - no further action.

(f)	Bread. Composition: The dark object embedded in the crust proved to be bakehouse char and not a rodent dropping as suspected.	Reported to Committee. No further action.

	Bread.
(f)	Composition: Embedded in the crumb was a mixture of dough, bakehouse char and a little oil.	Reported to Committee. Baker and Vendor warned.
	Serial No. F.C. 203.
	Bread.
(f)	Composition: A fragment of zinc 13mm. long and 5 mm. wide was present in the crumb.	Legal proceedings. Manufacturer fined £20 with £12 9s. Od. costs.
	Serial No. F.C. 191.
	Cream Doughnut.
(j)	Composition: A small amount of mould was detected in the cream filling.	Reported to Committee. No further action.
	Serial No. F.C. 221. Icing Sugar.
(r)	Composition: The foreign matter consisted of a mixture of sugar, calcium phosphate, mineral oil and iron.	Reported to Committee. Refiners warned.

	Honey.
(s)	Composition: Embedded in the sample of honey was an unused medical dressing.	Attention of Canadian Embassy drawn to occurrence.

	Lemonade.
(k)	Composition: The plastic stopper of the bottle was contaminated by a disinfectant of the Dettol type which had tainted the drink.	Legal proceedings. Manufacturer fined £10 with £10 7s. 1d. costs.
	Serial No. 1382.
	Stout.
(t)	Composition: The stout was sour when received and had a high acidity figure indicating that the stout had turned to vinegar.	Reported to Committee. Distributor and Manufacturer warned.
