BURIALS
88. The local authority has a duty under Section 50 of the National
Assistance Act, 1948, to arrange the burial, or cremation, of the
body of any person who has died or been found dead in the
Borough, in any case where it appears that no suitable arrangements
for the disposal of the body have been or are being made.
Since 1st April, 1965, 8 burials and 2 cremations have been
arranged.
