VERMIN AND UNCLEANLINESS.
Seventeen thousand three hundred and seventy-one inspections
were carried out by the School Nurses at Primary and Secondary
Schools. It was not found necessary for any inspections to be
made at the Grammar and Technical Schools. Six pupils were
found to be infested, with a further forty showing minor evidence
of infestation. These figures show a very high standard of cleanliness
which is a tribute to the care that parents devote to their
children, and is worthy of the highest praise.
