The Honorary Secretary of the County Tuberculosis Care
Committee has kindly supplied the following information in respect
of the year 1954:—
"Throughout 1954 our Liaison Officer has visited many
patients and their families with a view to solving the special
problems of the tuberculous household. Help has been given in
the provision of extra nourishment, clothing, bed and bedding,
payment of coal bills, fares to enable relatives to visit patients in
Sanatoria, holidays, and in general to assist not only the patient
but also the health of the family which is exposed to the possible
risk of tuberculosis."
