METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS.
The Borough Engineer has kindly supplied the following
details for 1949, from records kept by his Department at the
Climatological Station at Church House Grounds:—
Total rainfall: 18.29 inches (24.48 inches during 1948).
Mean maximum daily temperature: 61.1°.
Mean minimum daily temperature: 44.4°.
Highest maximum temperature: 88.0° (on 27th June, 1949).
Lowest minimum temperature: 19.0° (on 4th February, 1949).
Lowest grass temperature: Not available, as replacement instrument
only received in May, 1949.
