MEAT AND OTHER FOODS.
The war-time control on meat slaughtering continues to
operate. There are five registered and three licensed slaughterhouses
on the register records of the Local Authority. Under
the provisions of the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1933, the Local
Authority continues to grant annual licenses to slaughtermen.
The following articles of food were surrendered either as unfit
for human food, for destruction, salvage for animal feeding, or
utilised for any authorised process of re-conditioning.
